Our Work - Income

Financial Stability comes from having an income adequate to pay for today's necessities and save for the future, but too many working parents don't earn enough to provide for their families.

Through our Fostering Self-Sufficiency Vision Council, United Way funds five collaborative projects that focus on increasing financial assets, reducing homelessness, decreasing domestic violence, improving mental health, and increasing access to nutritious food.

Give Now

HFI (Housing First Initiative) provides immediate permanent housing for 35 chronically homeless individuals and 15 homeless families, leveraging funding from governments, foundations, and corporations.

Community of Services Collaboration combines the resources of six agencies to ensure that poor and low-income people receive appropriate services for their mental health, substance abuse, sex abuse, domestic violence, consumer credit and housing needs.

Nutrition Alliance integrates services from five agencies to ensure access to nutritious food for lowincome families and to improve families' nutrition.

Latino Domestic Violence Prevention Initiative brings three agencies together to target family violence and to provide a safety net among our Latino communities.
